Here I have compiled a brief overview of several network monitoring tools. This page has some general comparison information, and each tool has it's own page with demo pages and comments. The Monitors are tools that track the availability of machines and services. The Monitors have the ability to notify someone in the event that something goes wrong. The Graphers are tools to track trends such as bandwidth utilization, emails sent, collisions on a network interface, temperatures or just about anything else you can think of.
